Every now and then, the Air Force decides that we need to get outside of the office and have a little fun. And the Air Force is right. Today, we each had a chance to plan and sign up for activities that seem fun. Some people played video games, some lifted weights, went shopping, etc — we went for a bike ride in San Francisco.
We started at Sports Basement in the Presidio, rode across the Golden Gate Bridge, went up a giant mountain (Mt. Tam), past Muir Woods, up the mountain again, and down through the quaint town of Mill Valley, CA. We hopped onto the Golden Gate Ferry and rode across to the San Francisco Ferry Building and then rode (into the screaming wind) a short 4.5 miles back to our starting point.
What other job encourages you to get outside and have some fun!
The map below thinks that we rode our bikes across the Bay — that was the ferry ride. So, we actually did about 30 miles. 🙂
